Lots of what you say resonates with me very much, but I am still left quivering slightly, unsure of actually what dream I am chasing? Even if my jewellery stood a realistic chance of proper commercial success, the reality of pursuing the major commercial route - a life on the road, international gift fairs, fashion weeks, employing staff, designing and making the master piece for employees to replicate en masse just leaves me feeling vaguely unwell, it is just not for me! Big business and major commercial success was clearly an ambition for Alex, and needs to really be an compelling and exciting process for you if you are to pursue it I guess, with the risk, commitment and energy it would require. I was intrigued that he got out of SOR long long before he was famous simply by having a gorgeously original product and the balls to insist on wholesale purchase by shops. What totally struck a chord with me is his desire to translate his emotional responses to things in metal - utterly my experience. Finding one's own model for success, actually knowing what one would like to ultimately happen business-wise is an interesting question, no rights or wrongs, just what feels right for one's own life I suppose? Love having pals to share the journey with, though! Your path will have, as is already having, great success and it is fab to watch. xxxBelinda @ Wild Acrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04368915725575907922noreply@blogger.com
